BIO 112: Environmental Biology Intro Lab (1 credit)

Course description

This 1-credit laboratory course is designed to give the non-biologist a working knowledge of the life sciences that will be useful in making informed decisions on health and the environment. This course will introduce students to basic principles and techniques used in biology, using plant biology as a vehicle for delivering environmental biology content. The laboratory is intended to complement the material presented in lecture.

Learning objectives

Students will perform basic laboratory procedures and experiments to learn about plants and improve analytical skills. to better understand the role plants play in everyday life and to enable a greater appreciation for the natural world as it relates to the global community.
