Margherita Marchionni

Program Coordinator, Semester Programs

Margherita Marchionni was born in Siena and spent half of her life moving between the U.S. and Italy. While studying for a Bachelor’s in International Affairs at Washington University in Saint Louis, she worked with a number of globally-facing organizations such as the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and CET Academic Programs, focusing on research and communications. This background, alongside her experience studying abroad in Taiwan and Greater China, fostered a passion for global education. Margherita worked with LEAD Educational Institute, the most reviewed language school in Tuscany, before moving to Bologna to work with Spring Hill College. With personal and professional experience living in both countries and a background supporting educational initiatives in the NGO and study abroad sectors, Margherita is excited about supporting students as they navigate new cultural environments and learn about Italy beyond the classroom.
